Description
Wild Earth Wines don’t just make stonking Pinot Noir, they do a darn good Chardonnay sourcing fruit from elevated vineyards in the Pisa and Bendigo subregions. This is a cool climate, yet rich chardonnay which is 100% barrel fermented, 10% new French oak, and a toasty style of Chardonnay with complexity and richness from full solids (yeast lees). And made by renowned local winemaker Jen Parr. It's powerful, nutty, and quite decadent but with a lovely mineral, acid line common for the region.
Smells
Beautifully pure white florals fill the air around the glass, reminiscent of lilies, with juicy peach and nectarine bolstered by a kiss of French Oak.
Tastes
Sweetly fruited with an elegance and purity, grilled peach and nut flavours, fig, and nougat flow through the palate, finishing creamy and long with a clean, focused profile. An excellent Chardonnay that will only improve over the next 2-3 years. Crispy skinned roasted chicken and a glass of Wild Earth Chardonnay and life will seem complete…..The recommended serving temperature is 10-13 degrees.
We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
