The “Co-Ordinates” is a focus by this 30-year+ Master of East Coast winemaker on crafting quality wines from the finest Gisborne terroir, with which he has massive experience and affinity. Steve was the winemaker behind the legendary “P” Patutahi Gewürztraminer – his vineyard knowledge and winemaking skill oozes from this stunning Co-Ordinates Makauri Gewürztraminer from the sensational 2021 vintage. Classic Gewürztraminer with a moreish Gin & Tonic edge on the deliciously dry finish.
Smells
Superb, classic Gewürztraminer aromatics of fresh rose petals, rose water, lychee, and ginger with a dash of Turkish delight.
Tastes
Classical on the palate with generous, forward fruit firing up your tastebuds with perfumed, floral flavours, notes of honeysuckle, and a warming, long, gingery finish. Ultimately satisfying with soft acid, characteristic of Gewürztraminer, but the refreshing Gin & Tonic like finish gives balance enhancing the deliciously dry finish. Too drinkable to resist, the perfect partner to Asian cuisine or soft, runny cheeses. Enjoy now through 2026.
