Description
Perrin Nature is an acknowledgement of where our viticultural and winemaking practices need to be. Everyone the world over needs to employ organic practices so this world is here for future generations. Nature refers to their organic practices in the vineyard, and where they use their experience learnt farming Beaucastel (one of the first big estates to turn to organic farming 40 years ago). Great to see they are sharing the love. A white blend of Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Marsanne and Roussanne.
Smells
Viognier aromatics shine brightly with floral notes of orange blossom, sultanas, and orange peel, slightly Muscat-like.
Tastes
those strongly perfumed aromatics are mirrored on the palate, flavours of white flowers, and lemon zest reign. A wine with lots of elegance and perfume, especially considering the fruit is grown in the Rhone Valley, typically a warm region. The palate is long with a powerful finish and salivating acidity, all enhanced by the chalky, stone-sucking texture. It's great to support Natural and this is a superb drinking wine now through 2025 with seafood or salads.
