Verdeca is a crisp, refreshing, and dry grape variety primarily cultivated in southern Italy. Once a staple in Vermouth production, its decline in global demand led to fewer plantings over the years. But with just one sip of this stunning Verdeca, you can’t help but wonder—why wasn’t more of it planted? This is a superb rendition of an underrated gem. Legendary All Black John Kirwan has a deep love for all things Italian starting with his Italian wife!
