They have won Champion Trophies & Gold’s over many years with this Albariño, helping to show just how well suited the grape is to NZ climes and NZ Wine Lovers palates. The Albariño fruit comes from their Gisborne vineyards where it perfectly responds to the long, hot summers the region is famous for. A crisp, dry, citrus and stone fruit driven white, it will appeal to Pinot Gris and Sauvignon drinkers alike but has plenty of weight & texture for Chardonnay drinkers to get excited about too. Tastes
Subtly full flavoured with an invigorating citrus and white peach freshness, the lovely limey edge to the palate calls to mind a cold Gin & Tonic on a hot summer's day. Clean and purely fruited, Leftfield will convert a lot of people to Albariño at its World Class Quality V Price. Ideal with roast chicken on the BBQ but also has the casual drinkability of dry Pinot Gris.
