Description
Te Arai translates to 'the place where you pause before going on to the land of eternal sunshine. Certified bio-dynamic by Demeter, James subscribes to theories that are far from the norm in NZ, but like a conversation with the man himself, his wines are always thought provoking and individual.
Smells
Vibrant pineapple and grapefruit, with lime zest and gardenia floral.
Tastes
Just off-dry on the palate, the succulent, rich flavours are reminiscent of cumquat, peach, honeycomb, and mandarin, with subtle herbal and spice notes coming through on the finish. A lovely integrated wine with real presence, and this 2021 shows elegance and poise along with that power. Enjoy between now and 2028 with your favourite white protein.
