Description
For 30 years the team at Lawson's Dry Hills have crafted stunning wines that have filled the awards cabinet and delighted wine lovers. From vineyards in the Waihopai and Omaka Valleys this is a rich, off-dry style. With 10% undergoing natural wild ferments in old French barriques, then left for several months on lees before blending with the free-run juice to complete a vibrant, textural and concentrated Pinot Gris.
Smells
Floral notes over top of stone fruit, a hint of nuts, pear drop and citrus.
Tastes
Rich and full, with a lightly creamy texture to compliment the balanced fruit flavours, red apples, ginger, pear and peach. Hints of apple crumble and lemon meringue linger on the refreshing finish. (Vegan) Delicious drinking this summer and next with seafood or a whole roasted chicken.
