Description
This is one of NZ's lowest production Pinot Gris crafted with hand-harvested fruit from low cropping hillside vines in the Upper Moutere. Made in a dry style with minimal fining and filtration, opulent fruit compliments savoury complexity as a result of amphora/lees ageing giving the wine its textural prowess and layered depth.
Smells
Complex array of nougat, brioche, and honeycomb, from barrel fermentation and lees ageing with pear, peach, and baking spices.
Tastes
A texturally proud palate with lithe acid threading the weighty amalgam of fruit and complex winemaking flavours. Baked apple and peach pie emerge in the composed, deep finish. Pinot Gris to be slowly sipped and contemplated with food; now and through 2026.
