Description
A highly regarded Pinot Gris from Martinborough with a very poetic back label, Palliser Estate is a just off-dry style in 2024, showing more richness, weight, and gravitas than many other producers. The 2024 is stunning, truly speaking of the excellent 2024 season. Combined with the fact that winemaker Guy McMaster lets the wine spend 2 months on its lees in tank before bottling and you have a real winner, a top Pinot Gris that will make every get together ten times better.
Smells
Honeysuckle, apple, quince, and pear.
Tastes
Luscious and long with plenty of weight and fine, bready richness and nutty complexity. A serious player that cries out for some lightly spiced eastern cuisine, a Pinot Gris that should be enjoyed between now and 2028. The recommended serving temperature is 6-8 degrees.
We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
