Description
Amisfield are best known for their Pinot Noirs and superb restaurant, but Riesling lovers should not pass up their Rieslings (either sweet or dry). This Dry Riesling manages to be both bone dry and quite generous, great with fresh fish or lightly spiced Asian cuisine, it's also great on its own on a hot summer's day, with its moderate 12% alcohol making it go down very easy. Enjoy in its youth or cellar through 2027.
Smells
Subtle freshly mown hay notes and beeswax, with honey, white flowers, and lemon.
Tastes
Clean, pure, and zesty on the palate, with flavours of citrus, apple white peach and lime. Chalky mineral texture from the phenolics and incredible acidity make this a good food wine. At Amisfield's famous restaurant they often pair this with pork belly and harissa, but a nice juicy snapper fillet would work nicely too. The recommended serving temperature is 6-8 degrees.
