Description
Although Riesling is only 9% of Framingham's production, it is incredibly important for the winery's reputation. Jancis Robinson MW regarded Andrew Hedley’s Rieslings as the finest in the world outside the Mosel. Sadly, Andrew Hedley has left Framingham, but the winery is in the very fine hands of Andrew Brown, maintaining the superb quality, and this Classic again proves the incredible work Andrew Brown is doing both in producing stellar wines and his maintenance of the house style.
Smells
Lovely floral cherry blossom notes with mandarin, citrus, and lime.
Tastes
Just off-dry, the style is designed to mirror the Spatlese-halbtrocken wines of Germany. The fruit freshness is all Marlborough, the old vines providing amazing complexity, structure, texture and interest. Drink now or cellar indefinitely, these wines go and go!
