This year’s East Block Riesling is nothing short of exceptional—a true classic in every sense. While undeniably stunning in its youth, this wine possesses the structure and poise to evolve beautifully over the next 10–15 years. Hand-harvested from mature vines planted in 1994 on Sarah-Kate and Dan Dineen’s family vineyard, Mt Maude, East Block has rightfully earned its place among New Zealand's Top 5 Rieslings. Produced in tiny quantities and crafted with meticulous attention to detail, its whole bunch pressed to preserve purity and precision in every bottle. This Riesling never lingers long on our shelves, but it promises to reward patience in your cellar.

Pulsating with energy on the palate, it’s overflowing with juicy apples, tropical fruit and lime/orange sherbet balanced by beautifully clean and pure acidity with lovely fine grip giving the wine presence and texture. A wine that is fast becoming legendary, it is massively under-priced - but don't expect it to stay that way! Enjoy between now and 2025. Serve with fresh line-caught snapper. The recommended serving temperature is 6-8 degrees.
