Description
Freya was the foremost goddess of ancient Germanic lands where the Riesling grape originated. This wine honours early German settlers who cultivated the Riesling vine in the Eden Valley’s exemplary micro-climate. Made by Corey Ryan ex Henschke and Villa Maria, outstanding credentials, and from a very low yielding year resulting in a wine that’s nothing short of outstanding. 100% hand-picked and whole bunch pressed, high altitude Riesling from the finest Eden Valley vineyards.
Smells
Bursting with lemon, melon and lime aromas with a touch of lavender undertones.
Tastes
A refreshing and bright palate with lovely mid-palate flesh, finishing with zest and crunchy acidity. A delicious wine, approachable upon release this wine will also mature very well for many years to come. Perfect with fresh seafood, fresh oysters or a cheese selection.
