Consistently one of the finest premium Sauvignon Blancs in Marlborough year in and year out, and this 2023 has soared to even new heights. Auntsfield is run by brothers Luc and Ben Cowley. With Luc in the winery and Ben in the vines, this 2023 Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc shows all the classic Marlborough aromatics, but with boatloads more tension, texture, and complexity. A class act, it will sing with fresh sashimi and soy.
Smells
An array of tropical and citrus notes, with a hint of minerality, freshly cut herbs, lemon peel and grapefruit.
Tastes
Lots of body and richness here, with stunning purity of fruit driving a long, focused finish. Benchmark Sauvignon from the brothers Southern Valleys vineyard, this will be at its best now to 2026.
