Description
Nautilus Sauvignon Blanc sits somewhat in the shadow of the winery's spectacular reputation for Methode Traditionnelle, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, but the quality is no less exceptional. Winemaker Clive Jones has an embarrassment of high-quality vineyards to draw from, and the wine is a classic example of Marlborough Sauvignon made in a bone-dry style.
Smells
Perfumed tropical fruit with citrus, passionfruit, and guava.
Tastes
Juicy and mouth-watering with a perfect balance of fruit and acid. Hints of cut grass, gooseberry, nettles, and blackcurrant mingle with tropical fruits of guava, passionfruit, and kiwifruit. The finish is classy with hints of kaffir lime and lemongrass, fresh and focused with a long, mineral palate, it's beautifully done and very detailed. Perfect with Vietnamese cuisine.
