Description
In the famous Bordeaux region of Graves, Semillon was always prized much more highly than Sauvignon, the former giving the wine structure and age-ability. Of course, in New Zealand, we do Sauvignon rather well, and Pegasus Bay merges the two styles perfectly, with a stylish and refined version that will age well.
Smells
A mind-blowingly complex aroma of subtle lemon, passionflower, yellow plums, kiwifruit, and flint.
Tastes
Juicy, sweetly fruited and very structured, with excellent grip and oak texture across the palate, a mouth-watering acid contributing to the long finish. Drink now or cellar for a decade, this will drink beautifully between now and 2028 (probably much longer under the correct conditions). Serve with your favourite roasted white meats.
