Description

Starborough wines embody the legacy and dedication of four generations of the Jones family in Marlborough. With Andrew managing the family’s farms and viticulturist James at the helm of Starborough's wine brand, they’re known not only for their own exceptional fruit but also as contract growers for prestigious local wine brands. Guided by regional expert Dave Clouston, Starborough consistently delivers high-quality wines, and their 2024 Sauvignon Blanc is yet another gem, adding to the shine of this remarkable label.

Smells

Vibrant passionfruit, melon, blackcurrant and sweet nettle and herb aromas.

Tastes

Beautifully plump, a rich palate of passionfruit and tropical fruit interspersed with gently tangy blackcurrant and subtle herbs. The plush texture and bright acidity give vibrancy and direction to the parade of flavours that persist for a lengthy period. Ideal with smoked salmon and smoked white fish, also baked Hapuku from tonight onwards. The recommended serving temperature is 6-8 degrees.
