Elderton is owned and operated by the Ashmead family who purchased the original homestead in 1979 and back then demand for table wine was so low that they had 72 acres of old vine (planed 1894) Shiraz and Cabernet thrown in free of charge. The estate is situated in Nuriootpa in the heart of the Barossa.
Elderton specialise in premium Shiraz, Cabernet, GSM and Merlot, plus a small range value-end white wines.
